What we fix

Consoles only. We diagnose the actual fault first, then give you one firm number and a date before anything comes apart.

How an HDMI port repair works

The port is soldered to the main board. Replacing it means microsoldering: removing the damaged port, preparing the pads, and soldering a new port on under a microscope. We test picture and sound before the console goes home, and we give the quote after a diagnosis, once we have seen the console.

Questions we hear at the counter

The short versions.

How much will my console repair cost?

Every repair here is quote-first. Text us the model and what it is doing, or bring it in, and we diagnose it before we name a number. The quote we give you before work starts is firm - we do not start until you approve it.

What warranty does my repair come with?

Your repair's warranty terms are written out on your repair ticket, in writing, before you pay - so you know exactly what is covered before any money changes hands. If anything about the terms is unclear, ask us at the counter and we will walk through them with you.

If it cannot be fixed, what do I owe?

Nothing for the repair. We look it over, tell you what we found, and quote the fix if there is one. If it turns out to be unfixable, or you decide against the repair, there is no repair bill.

Do you do board-level work like HDMI ports?

Yes. Console HDMI port replacement is microsoldering work - the damaged port comes off the board and a new one is soldered on under magnification. We diagnose first, then give you a firm quote and a date at check-in.

How long will a board-level repair take?

It depends on the diagnosis and the part. At check-in we will give you a firm quote and a date for the repair.

Do I have to book, or can I walk in?

Walk in whenever we are open - 257 Lee Dr Ste V in Baton Rouge. Booking ahead holds a time slot for drop-off, but it is never required.

Will you buy my broken or used system?

Yes. Dead, damaged, or just collecting dust - bring the system in and we will make an offer based on the model and condition. If fixing it makes more sense for you, we will tell you that too.

Console down right now?

Text the model and what it is doing to (225) 769-6828 - we will let you know whether it sounds fixable before you make the drive.
